Women must wait 202 years before they can earn the same as men and have equal job opportunities, according to a global report released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Tuesday. Women earn about half as much as men, said the WEF, reporting a gender pay gap of 51% in 2018. There were fewer women working this year than men, mostly due to the lack of childcare, which kept women from jobs or from progressing to senior roles, according to the annual report. Women were missing at the top, the report found, with only one-third of all managerial roles taken by women.
根据世界经济论坛18日发布的一份全球性报告，女性要想获得和男性同等的薪酬以及工作机会还需等待202年。世界经济论坛表示，女性目前的薪酬是男性薪酬的一半左右，全球2018年性别薪酬差距是51%。这份年度报告显示，今年女性就业人数少于男性就业人数，主要原因是儿童保育服务不足，使得女性无暇就业或无缘晋升。报告发现，高层职位中女性占比偏低，全球所有管理职位中只有1/3由女性担任。
